Pelin brings 17 years experience to her role leading the Hill+Knowlton Strategies Turkey office as general manager. She joined the team in 2013 and since then, has leveraged her deep industry knowledge and relationships to enhance the office’s reputation as one of the foremost agencies in the country. Before joining H+K, Pelin worked in both the private and public sectors including the Prime Ministry Investment Agency of Turkey, leading international corporations in various sectors such as telecommunications, technology and hospitality. During her time with the Investment Agency, her mandate was to assist and support foreign investors before, during and after their investment in Turkey. She was also the head of Marketing & PR strategies at the Agency. Following her time at the Prime Ministry Investment Agency, Pelin designed and executed high-profile strategic partnerships at one of the top telecommunication companies in Turkey for four years. She also led the G20 Turkey’s Presidency’s promotional PR campaign in 2015.

After completing her university degree in Turkey, Pelin earned a Diploma in Marketing from the University of California, Berkeley. She earned her master’s degree in European Studies at the department of political science at Bosphorus University, Istanbul and thereafter started her PhD at Neuchâtel University in Switzerland. With an international outlook and a passion for foreign shores Pelin has spent several years working in both the U.S. and Dubai and visiting 70+ countries is testament to her adventurous nature. A conservationist and nature lover. Pelin speaks native English in addition to her mother tongue.

With more than 17 years’ experience in communications, 10 of which have been with Hill+Knowlton Strategies Turkey as Deputy General Manager, Hamit possesses a deep-rooted knowledge of the industry both in Turkey and globally. To date, he has provided communication consultancy services to many national and international brands. One of Hamit’s areas of special expertise is ‘crisis management’ and he has taken the lead position in many crisis situations over the years. A true PR guru Hamit has worked across most sectors including energy, technology, automotive, aerospace & defence, health, real estate, pharma, FMCG, tourism and finance.

Hamit graduated from the Public Relations and Publicity Department of the Faculty of Communication of Istanbul University. He practices English at a high level in addition to his mother tongue of Turkish. Keen on numismatics Hamit has a superb collection of old coins and also enjoys travelling.

Carl is a seasoned professional with exemplary management and linguistic skills. A team player and strong performer in high-pressure situations where stringent deadlines need to be met.

Previous experience include running his own logistics company in the UK for eighteen years to overseeing two start-up companies in Turkey. The first a logistics operation for a well-known French multi-national and the second opening a distribution company for one of America’s largest video conference vendors on behalf of their biggest German distributor. Vast experience in the education sector in Turkey with several senior positions in management in addition to being a qualified English teacher.

In his earlier days Carl completed his degree in General Commerce at Manchester Polytechnic and has been involved in the business sector ever since. Carl obtained his first English teaching certificate in 2007.

A keen sportsman having played semi-professional football in England and also an avid golfer, snowboarder and skier. In addition to his native English Carl speaks reasonable Turkish having lived in Turkey for the last 15 years.
