On a Global Stage Helping the Turkish G20 Presidency to prepare and manage the 2015 G20
In November 2015, the H+K Turkey team helped the Turkish G20 Presidency to prepare and manage the 2015 G20 press centre—a 6.500 m2 space consisting of an International Media Centre with six conference rooms and an International Broadcast Centre—in order to host 3.000 accredited journalists.
The team trained and managed dozens of support staff around-the-clock, coordinated a curated program for select journalists, handled all special media requests and inquiries, provided ongoing strategic counsel and organized broadcast and print interviews with Mustafa Osman Turan, the Head of Department for G20 Outreach and Engagement at the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Toward the end of the Summit, the team received the following message from a Senior Producer for the BBC: “Your team has been FANTASTIC today. It’s made a huge difference to us, and we’ve been on air every single hour with up-to-date information. … I can’t thank you enough. THANK YOU!” The client shared similar feedback: “Your efforts have reached the highest level during the summit. The positive feedback we have received indicates that our efforts are quite appreciated. We thank all of you individually.”
Additionally, in the months leading up to the summit, the H+K team organized three foreign press trips to Turkey, hosting 50+ journalists from 19 countries including India, China, Ethiopia, Mexico, Argentina, South Africa, Japan, Indonesia, Australia, Britain, US, France. Media coverage was secured in top-tier outlets, including Xinhua, La Tribune, Times of India, El Sol de Mexico, Business Day, The Age, Wall Street Journal, Nikkei, Reuters.
